I'm nervous about what is going to happen to my health care in 2012, since I'm dependent on Medicare and Medicaid. Ominous dark clouds ahead. But I am making myself approach the new year with some happiness in my heart anyway.

Hello, I am doing some research and wanted to find out if you have ever been bitten by a tick before. I'm sorry it seems like an odd question but I've read about Lupus being caused by Lyme disease in some people.

ReplyDeleteI was checked for Lyme disease and do not have it but it does share a lot of symptoms with lupus.
DeleteRisk pools are state-sponsored programs to help people with a history of medical problems in their family to purchase coverage. These pools are for people who can afford to buy health insurance, but are not able to get underwritten in the private market because of a pre-existing health condition.

I do know some people who are presently being covered by risk pool insurance. What has to be worked on very hard on now is keeping the programs from being destroyed by budget cuts...sigh
